Lord of the Rings Horses
I'll confess: I have a bit of an obsession. I adore horses, and especially those from Lord of the Rings. Imagine my dismay upon discovering that even after hours of laboring through fansites dedicated to Legolas and Aragorn, I could not find a single website that focused on the talented and beautiful horses from this amazing trilogy! (I later discovered many wonderful sites, some of which are linked on the 'goodies' page.) To remedy this, I started my own little hobby site, and it has grown tremendously, entirely because of the wonderful people that frequent the discussion board.
Below you will find several links. The first goes to the most common attraction: images of the horses from the LotR movies. If you click on that, you will find another page that is subdivided into each of the main horses. The second link is behind the scenes images. These are rare photos of the horses themselves, the training of the horses, and the directing of the horse scenes. Third is a page-in-progress, where you can find quotations from the books and movies revolving around the horses. Finally, there is the goodies page, which has things such as LotR Horse AIM icons, desktop downloads, links, and other such trinkets.
Don't forget to visit the discussion board at the bottom of this page! It is a great place to connect with other people as obsessed as you are... I'd bet you never expected to find others who love the horses more than the actors!
