Available Hamsters

These dwarf hamsters are currently available. We usually prefer to sell these in same-sex pairs, as dwarf hamsters are social and enjoy company. There are some, however, that get along best by themselves. All hamsters have been hand-raised and socialized. Prices are $7 for 1 and $10 for 2. If you want three or more, that is probably do-able. Campbell's Russian Dwarf hamsters are very sweet and would make good pets for older children. Young children tend to squeeze pets, and these tiny critters would not fare well (a Syrian hamster would be better for them). Dwarf hamsters, unlike the so-called "teddy bear" and "black bear" hamsters in stores, will usually wake up to play with you during the day, even though they are nocturnal. They rarely nip except when startled or pregnant.
